I am a journalism major from the University of Wisconsin in Madison. My family has been in the electrical contracting business for over 30 years. With journalism jobs being hard to find, I joined the family trade eleven years ago. Writing for this website keeps my educational background relevant.
I am an electrical inspector for the city of Chicago. With over 20 years in the industry, I help with factual information about electrical power and safety for homeowners and businesses. That is what I also write about. Three teenagers that will need college money brings me to this website.
With a last name that rhymes with Nantucket, I have endured years of recurrent joking. LOL, so have developed a good sense of humor. I help train future electricians at a trade school. This provides the knowledge base needed to excel prior to an apprenticeship and licensure.
